LegacyBox does not let you know in their advertising prior to sale that they don't transfer sound if you have movie reels such as Super 8. Then they make you pay when you order but ask for a refund due to that fact that your movies don't have sound which is the reason for Super 8's and other reel film with sound and they don't tell you that until after you receive their box to return the media, they charge you for the shipping of said box.
Look at the other 1 to 2 star ratings. If you use LegacyBox you'll be sorry.

I just found out today that even though I have downloaded all the files they sent, they want me to have an annual subscription. I do not need any more of their services and tried to cancel my subscription and remove my credit card info.
THERE IS NO WAY ON THEIR WEBSITE TO CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION OR REMOVE MY CC!!
I am pissed. This is total BS!!!

I have a YouTube Channel dedicated to raising the level of video transfer quality and customer service in this appalling industry.
I am sick and tired of redoing shoddy and morally sickening work legacybox and the other company names they go under.
It is a complete scam job company and its my goal to get them shut down once and for all.
There needs to be a class action law suit filed. I have employees on the inside of that company ready and willing to expose in detail the practices going on inside that company, along with the owners bs.
If anyone wants to check out my videos, YouTube Got Memories Legacybox add south tree and Kodak digitizing into the search too as theyre all the same company and I have review videos on those too.

I have not tried Legacy Box, but I am a VERY satisfied customer of Phil Thomas' Got Memories. I had Phil digitize 36 reels of old Super 8 film that had been stashed away in a closet for the past 60 years or so.
He was incredibly responsive throughout the process--usually responding to my questions within a few hours--and thoroughly professional. He did the whole job in two days and the results were excellent. Including time to ship the films back and forth, the job took like a week. The whole family is now enjoying these films that we haven't seen in decades.
I did find some cheaper options online but I have absolutely no doubt that having Phil do the work was the right call.
No problems, totally professional and workmanlike experience, and top-notch quality in the final results! Highly recommended.
Order wont take my email says there is something wrong

Poor Quality
The video conversions to digital were very poor quality and no one responds to my emails or picks up the phone to discuss the matter.They also took many months to do the order.

I PAID over $500.00 for my irreplacible precious family slides , waited 6 months never received to make it worse I called the customer service number and I was told I never placed an order , they took my items kept them and now I can't get them back. I really wish that the read the reviews first, how are they in business?

I still have nothing.. why should I go out of my way to appease legacy box?
They did NOT go out of their way to ensure I had a good experience as a customer! Chewy DID! Order from Chewy - Do NOT waste you time with legacy box. Yes!
I will call ALL their supporters on news radio! I buy products from news radio.

Not able to contact eadily
I waited on the phone 20 minutes. The music was very irritating.
Then a recording came on saying they could take my call and to go to
The website. Then they wanted my credit card info to charge me $5 ( which would be credited back). Not going to jump through all of those hoops. Not giving them my credit card info either.
Then I read some really poor reviews. Wont be doing business with them.

I want to order a link to an old order I had converted a few years ago by legacybox to google drive. I was told, when I called a few weeks ago, that I could buy the old link for two payments of $19.99, which I want to do now, but I cant get anyone to answer the phone!
I have tried every day for a week to get someone to help me and it is just an automated call that says due to staffing and high volume, nobody can take my call. I have tried the text link twice and havent received any help except for two different people texting me back asking what I needed help with, which I responded with no answer!

- That nobody seems to work for them so that i can get what i need
Preferred solution: I want to re-purchase an old order to get the link again for google drive.

Actually my loss was almost 40 dollars not 15. Legacy Box refunded my money minus the shipping of their box and deducted almost $40 from my refund for an empty cardboard box.
These people are a rip off.
WARNING - you've been warned. If you use them and when not if you're ripped off, don't say you weren't warned.
